Read: Exodus 25:23-30

God asks Moses to build him a tent - the "tabernacle", so he can be present with his people.  Now God gives a list of the furntiure for his tent.

Next, there is a table made of gold covered wood, complete with gold dishes, jars, and bowls.  In particular, there is a loaf of bread on permanent displayed.

Bread is the universal symbol of provisions.  But for the Hebrews, a meal is also an intimate experience shared between friends.  Conflicts and treaties are resolved over meals.

And in God's tent, there is always a meal ready for the visitor.  Jesus says, "I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never go hungry."

Think about your faith story: what are your experiences of being supplied by God, being welcomed by God?

In your life presently, what needs do you have before God?  What conflicts would you like to hammer out with God?

Who do you know can use a good meal to clear the air with God?

Pray
What is God saying to you today? What's Good News to you?

Talk to God about your experience of his provisions of supplies and grace.  Thank God for the way he takes care of you, and of your relationship with him.

Pray about the current needs and struggles you have.  Ask God what you need to grow passion, faith and reliance in your walk with his Spirit.

Pray for your friend who needs to have a good meal with God.  Ask God for the wisdom and opportunity to facilitate reconciliation..

Pray for an experience of God's love, grace and mercy in the way he feeds you and nurtures your relationship with him, and the way he uses you to bless others.
