Read: Exodus 8:1-15

The second plague involves frogs.  As the water of the Nile stinks with dead fish, God makes the frogs jump out of the water looking for lodging.

Frogs are everywhere, the historian remembers.  And even though Pharaoh's magicans were able to "reproduce frogs", whatever that means, the annoying frogs are still everywhere.

So Pharaoh seems to relent.  He is willing to allow the slaves to go worship God.  But no sooner are they free of frogs, Pharaoh changes his mind.

Think about your faith story: how have you gone back on a promise to God?

Presently, where in your life - what relationships or circumstances, are they consequences of a broken promise?

Who do you know maybe living with the consequences of breaking a promise to God?

Pray
What is God saying to you today? What's Good News to you?

Talk to God about the ways you have broken a promise to God.  Thank God for the way he stays faithful to you even when you break your word to him.

Pray about the circumstances in your life from broken promises, and the ways you are finding hard to keep your word.  Ask God for the help you need, the reassureance of his presence, and the courage to make a new promise.

Pray for your friend who is struggling with the consequences of broken promises  Ask God to show you how you can come along side and support your friend..

Pray for an experience of God's love, grace and mercy in the way he he is faithful to you, and in the way he helps you keep your promises..
